We are delighted about your interest in DAM Architectural Book Award.

Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) and the Frankfurter Buchmesse are for the 15th time asking for entries to be submitted for the DAM Architectural Book Award. Even in this era of growing competition through new media and communication methods books on architecture still remain the basic architectural medium. Identifying the best architectural books published in the current year by way of this competition and presenting them to architecture enthusiasts is thus a fundamental task of the DAM Architectural Book Award.

The DAM would like to thank the Society of Friends of the DAM for its generous support of the prize.

As an honorary prize, the DAM Architectural Book Award is not endowed with a monetary price. The award-winning publications will be presented at the book fair in Frankfurt and as part of joint stands at the book fair as part of international activities.

The DAM also presents the award-winning architecture books on its website and in the social media.

In the event of an award, the prizewinner undertakes to provide the DAM with further copies (usually 6, maximum 10) of the award-winning books free of charge for the international activities of the book fair.

The submitters agree to the presentation of the submitted architecture books at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

In the case of an award, the winner agrees

  • to the presentation of the award-winning architecture book at the Book Fair's international joint stands
  • to the presentation of the award winners at the DAM

The sender also declares that he/she is the owner of all the necessary rights. In the event of third-party claims for fees, he/she shall indemnify the DAM against the costs of any legal action and/or the costs of third-party claims for fees.
